Simon + Gisele || Waiheke Island Wedding Location Shoot. (Wedding Photographers in Sydney)

Waiheke Island, located in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf, was the wonderful natural location for Simon & Gisele's wedding location shoot.  This Island location has such natural beauty at every point - stunning beaches, coastal vistas, cliffs, rocky outcrops and spider-like Pohutukawa trees.  A Sydney wedding photographers dream and a playground for photography.

I'd taken Simon & Gisele's wedding photos over in Nice, France; but Simons (and mine) parents couldn't make the journey to attend the French wedding. A plan was hatched to venture down under for a family reunion and wedding shoot, to capture his side of the family.  The locations were chosen to match the coastal areas of Nice, with the unique Kiwi natural charm thrown in for good measure. The images would also slot nicely into the combined wedding photo album that Gisele had planned.

We got up early to catch the beautiful morning summer light.  It was a perfect Waiheke summers day - still, golden light and clear azure blue skies. We recreated the wedding day buzz; from capturing the excitement of getting ready, to the stunning location on the beach. We even dragged Dad cross-country in his wheel chair and along the beach. Don't worry, I'd scouted the beach location the day before and the sand was hard and it was an easy journey! I guess I can now call myself an adventurous destination wedding photographer.

So, thank you, Waiheke for the amazing location. You delivered and then some. Thank you for providing the inspiration to capture beautiful memories for this couple and family.
